Our approach to website design

The approach mettlepress takes to website design is simple yet effective. It starts with recognising that our main focus should be on the client and their business. Without doing this, we have no way of knowing what it is we're trying to achieve. You see, good design isn't the ability to create pretty graphics or impressive animations. It involves creating answers to challenges. Specifically, we understand that good design:

• seeks to solve or remove a problem
• does not create unnecessary complexity
• offers value to all
• leaves a positive impression

• can perhaps inspire further good design

So before we even get to the design stage, we'll insist on asking questions of the client. Lots of them. We want need to understand what our clients are looking to gain, and what the obstacles are that currently prevent them from getting it.

Furthermore, we aren't interested in wasting our clients time, or our own time. If you need a service we don't offer, or if we think that we aren't a good fit for your business, we'll politely let you know, and where appropriate point you in the right direction. We're straight-up communicators, and we'll make sure that if you need to know something, you'll be told.
